Exhibition of artwork as part of Brighton’s Artists Open Houses, featuring a selection of painting, textiles, woodwork, dioramas and automata. With work by Mark Cass, Sheri Gee, Sylvie Howitt, Una Bennett, Joy Carol and Natasha Cooke.

Mark Cass

Mostly a woodworker, prolonged exposure to actual artists has led him to feel that perhaps he is an artist too. Worth a look.

Sheri Gee

Sheri Gee is a painter of figurative and Ashdown-inspired work, based in East Grinstead. Her work uses bold colour and loose brushwork to explore the world around her. Portrait commissions undertaken.

Sylvie Howitt

I transform leftovers and scraps of maps and old books into enchanting sardine tin dioramas. Each piece serves not only as a work of art but as a portal into a dreamy miniature world.

Una Bennett

Una’s work is inspired by the Irish landscape and most of her pictures are based there, near where she grew up, amongst the soft colours of nature.

Joy Carol

I love working with colour to make woven landscape and seascape pictures and wall hangings, so you can bring the joy and peace of nature into your home!
I weave on a table loom and use silk, wool, hand-dyed fleece and other fabrics.
